Getting Started

This is a quick step-by-step guide on how to get ChatPointsTTV set up. You will be directed to other documentation pages to get more in-depth instructions for certain aspects of the plugin.
It is recommended to open each link in a separate tab and return to this page afterward to follow up on the instructions.

Installation

Download the plugin from any of the official sources and place the .jar file into the plugins folder of your server. Start your server once afterwards for the configuration files to be generated.

Configuration

To use the plugin, you need to create Events for each platform you will be streaming on. You are also encouraged to further configurate the plugin for a better experience. See Config Files Documentation.

Setting up permissions

Note: ChatPointsTTV will NOT work unless permissions are set up properly.
See Permissions for more information on each permission ID. You will need at least to assign the chatpointsttv.target permission to use the plugin. Server operators should have the chatpointsttv.manage permission by default, which is needed to run ChatPointsTTV's commands (/cpttv, /twitch, /tiktok).

Through ChatPointsTTV

This will override any configuration made by an external plugin. Using the /cpttv set command you will be able to change any ChatPointsTTV permission for any online players.
For syntax and examples, see Commands.

Using an external permission plugin (advanced)

You may use an external permission management plugin such as LuckPerms for more complex configurations.
Assign the chatpointsttv. permissions to the preferred users or groups. These configurations may be overridden if a player has already been assigned permissions through the plugin commands. You may remove them by setting them to the unset state through the set command
Set the plugin permissions to your preferences.
